Help!

I'm finding that my meds are no longer helping, I've implemented low carb and lost a stone since giving up rice, pasta, porridge, I'm 12 stone now with an athletic build, I exercise and monitor my blood sugar which is still really high, I was hoping to come off meds but it isn't happening. What can I do?

Hi and welcome to the forum @sugarlump65.
I too am lean and fit. Whilst my blood sugars are not particularly high , they are very stubborn and I'm having trouble keeping them in the normal range. I do around 70 miles a week, fast paced walking, which may as well be a jog.

If you don't mind me asking, when you say you have implemented low carb, what kind if foods are you eating? What was your last HbA1c ? Members may be able to make further suggestions and some dietary adjustments.

I agree Melgar the more information you feel you can share the better, it would also help to say which meds you are on as if you are on something like Gliclizide which can cause hypos then advice may be different :)
