The recent 9.8 reading indicates that the insulin in your body is for whatever reason not bringing your sugar levels down to the 5-6'ish normal range. Normally you would measure 2 hours after a meal. If the 9.8. was at a shorter time it is indeterminate
. Some would call that poor sugar control, some
would say that might be pre-diabetic etc. It all
indicates the need for more recent tests. My diabetes
came on very quickly so it's possible a more up to date HBa1ic would give you a different result from
your previous one?

As to HGH then according to here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_sugar_re gulation then HGH will raise levels but it
doesn't say
how much.

I was just reading up on the HbA1c test, and I got a reading of 39 as 5.7mmol, is this right?

You will get there, and probably quicker than you realize. It all seems so difficult initially but it'
s not really. Once you know what foods you
can safely eat, you will be away and sorted. I know I was terrified, not now - I control my diabetes,
it does not control me.
