Hi all

Hope someone can help me. Over the past few months we (me and my DSN) have been working to get my sugars under control. This has meant increasing my insulin until we are getting acceptable readings. I am on Humulin M3 twice a day (54 units a.m and 50 units p.m) but the problem is that each time my dose increased so did my weight, until I am at the heaviest I have ever been. I am at a loss as to what to do. I am not eating much differently, except odd treats, but I have the munchies quite a lot. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables.

I am sure that I am not the only one finding problems like this and I would be happy to hear any suggestions and advice on how to be able to stop banging my head against a wall

Hi Salgor,
I am no expert but if you don't mind telling us what you eat during the day perhaps someone can offer advice. Odd treats and munchies? Tell me more! When I joined Weight Watchers a few years ago we were given a small booklet that we were meant to write in every time we ate something. Including the odd stolen treat. Nicking a chip from someone elses plate, scoffing the left over bits and bobs from meal preperation. You know the sort of thing. But, I have to admit total ignorance on how certain medications can affect us concerning weight. Perhaps you are slowly getting the ballance right.
