hi

can anyone help me please I have spent the last 3 months getting my sugars down to about 6 - 7 but the past week I have been hitting double figures again and tonight is the highest its been since I got diagnosed properly in jan this year of 15.1 nothing has changed in my diet nly thing I think it could be is I have a cold and taking cold tablets and more of my inhalers could this be it

The cold and the tablets your taking will have an affect on your bloods ...

it is like me at moment my asthma is playing up havoc dr put me on anti biotics & steroids & my sugars have been in the high 20s & coming down slowly at moment 25.9 it seems quite a few things can upset sugars thinking of you good luck

Sorry to hear of your problems. Both the cold and the inhalers could be affecting your blood sugar levels. One of the side effects of steroid based inhalers can be increased blood sugars. Here is some information on colds and diabetes: http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/cold-guide/diabetes-colds
