Glad you have resolved the situation. Any idea what it was that caused the problem highs? Whatever you are doing now it is working for you.

I really do think it was the liquid that goes into the e-cigarette.

I've not used it all day and blood levels are much much better.

That's very interesting. I wonder what the liquid is in the e-ciggy and what it does to the blood chemistry? I don't smoke so don't even know what effect nicotine has on the body.
 
OK so it turns out there are reports in the wild that vaping (e-cigs) may cause blood sugar rises in diabetics. Either due to the nicotine (same way adrenalin raises blood sugar) or from the glycerol added to the liquid.

Well, glycerine definitely spikes my BG. Mind you, all polyols spike my BG. It really annoys me when I see them labled as safe for diabetics.

I had a week of unexplained highs. Eventually pinpointed it to a dodgy pen of Lantus. I'd been away from home for a few weeks and got confused about which pens had been out of the fridge etc etc. It does happen.
