Glad you have resolved the situation. Any idea what it was that caused the problem highs? Whatever you are doing now it is working for you.

I really do think it was the liquid that goes into the e-cigarette.
OK so it turns out there are reports in the wild that vaping (e-cigs) may cause blood sugar rises in diabetics. Either due to the nicotine (same way adrenalin raises blood sugar) or from the glycerol added to the liquid.
I had a week of unexplained highs. Eventually pinpointed it to a dodgy pen of Lantus. I'd been away from home for a few weeks and got confused about which pens had been out of the fridge etc etc. It does happen.Hi,
Could be many reasons. Lots of things to consider.
Have you checked that your Lantus is OK? - i.e. Not out of date? Not cloudy? That it has been stored properly and not got too hot? That you are using a new needle at each injection? Do you need to up your Lantus by a unit or two? Do you think you are fighting an infection? Can you check for ketones? If ketones are high seek medical advice immediately - link to info on ketones. If your high sugar levels persist please seek medical advice.
