I was diagnosed type 2 ,six months ago.
I had complained for possibly two years ,I could not feel my legs, you have a good pulse in your feet go away.
I am now unable to sleep as the pressure of my legs on the mattress is very painfull,I have had a new mattress every year for the past four years. Now I know the problem.
I am sitting here feet up due to chronic fluid retention, worse in the left leg. Painfull.
My eyesight is deteriorating,
For the past two days I feel quite whoozey.
I take 1000 mugs Metformin.
60 mgs. Furosemide .
My blood result / first since diagnosis is 6.9 . I had to ring for result.reception.
I saw the Practice Nurse a week after diagnosis , she gave me a leaflet.
I read the news on this forum from other members and feel I am not being taken seriously, I am afraid I go back to my original thought, it's down to age.
Shall I or shall I not jump out of the frying pan into the fire, I hear such good reports from others ,using other surgeries.
