Hello there. I am a little but confused about my Hemoglobin readings. It was 58, not sure what does it means as the readings I'm used to are different now. Anyone knows if that's okay? Thank you

yes and that equals a 7.5% HbA1c ( in the older style of measurement. )

7.5% would be a bit high for my liking but it is not a bad result.:)

Yes HbA1c is a compound produced by the reaction of oxygen as carried by Haemoglobin and Glucose within a red blood cell when the blood cells die they break down and release the HbA1c into the blood plasma and its the amount of this in the plasma that is indicative of the level of glucose over a period of time 2 to three months the average live span of a blood cell I believe.

Thank you very much. It is a bit high for my liking too, gotta work on it :)
