hernia op still in pain

haveing diabeties
had hernia op last friday but itchinhg all over my hernia was in my groin very near my scotum it been 3 days still in pain my scrotum on one side swolen and black and blue also my penis has swolen up too im itching all over im still num on my groin top of leg is this norm or some alergy to anessthetick
 
With any operation it is bound to take a while for it all to settle down. It is an invasive procedure.

However, I suggest that you contact your GP asap for some advice and maybe extra treatment for the discomfort and pain.

This sounds pretty normal. You have been "attacked" in a delicate area after all :cry:
If you are controlling BG really Well, it will get better faster.
As Ken says Ask doc for help and advice( and paracetamol? :lol: )

Hernia ops are notorious for being very painful.

You aren't necessarily being wimpy about the pain. Why don't you speak to your GP? It could take weeks to get over it and unlike some pains is not necessarily short lived.
