LGC I'm fairly good at Organic chemistry and not too bad at biochemistry, so I knw what molecular sructures are and how they convert. I know about sugars I also have a recipe for a low carb bread. It's essentially protein based. I don't often make it however. Personally, I try to be as low in carbs as I can. Thus packed lunches or lunches out are usually meat and salad or green veggies. Or cheese or eggs! I can't remember where I found the "burger in a lettuce leaf" idea, but I didn't think of it myself. It does work well, you can get the tomatoes and gherkins in and stick them with mayo. I should think that for a treat, a nice steak packaged in the same way would work I do accept that people new to low carbing may still want to eat some carbs and my suggestions are for that. I came to my very low carb Way of Eating over time, by gradually cutting back and monitoring blood glucose. Hana
