I found this forum by accident really, and have been very interested in the low-carbing lifestyle as advocated here, and I would like to learn more about not only it, but about other suggestions and advice regarding Type 1 diabetes that people have!
It's great to see so many pekople on here helping each other, it seems that a lot of the healthcare teams around the country could learn a thing or two from here!

Hi Tom30.
Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around.
There is a specific area the Type 1 Diabetic forum, the low carb diabetes food forum, and a non low carb diabetes food forum. We don't just cater for low carb, all types of diet are discussed on here. There are successes with all of them. You will soon notice that many 'reduce carb' as well, just like me. We can see the benefits of less carbs in a diet.
Tom
If you are really interested in the lowcarb lifestyle as opposed to the reduced carbs, Then you should read Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. He explains it all.
I recommend you ask your library to get it for you as it's a textbook price to buy.
