@zand and @lovinglife . Please understand that as a diabetic like your good selves I fully understand what being T1 T2 and all the other lesser known types of diabetes are. My point is the general population don't, this is due to reports via the media, television portrayal and the likes who just generalise. Wouldn't you prefer that people understood more about your condition instead of the assumptions they jump to. I have no qualms with anyone and there type of diabetes but I do get annoyed when people judge using misguided information. That information isn't given by us as diabetics. Like it or not I have an autoimmune disease and sadly ( not yours or any other diabetics fault ) I am assumed all to often to have a lifestyle condition. It's like saying we are all human. Not a truer word could be spoken. But none of us are the same. Likewise as a community we are all diabetic but in my opinion we are very different in how it affects us and the measures we have to take to survive. I just wish other people could appreciate that. I'm fully aware that eating too much and not having exercise are not what it takes to become diabetic. Sorry if you misunderstood what I posted but for all of us diabetics I think there should be more clarification of are individual conditions.
