Hi from a parent of newly diagnosed 18 month old!

Hi! Just a quick hello to everyone on the forum, my name is Chris and I'm a dad to poppy 18 months old who has recently (Monday 19th march 2012, a day I won't ever forget) been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Both me and Poppy's mummy are still in a state of shock after our little girl became seriously ill and was diagnosed with the disease. Anyway I found this place while trawling the net for info and have already had a little look around and found some good info from supportive people, as time goes on I shall be on here quite a bit I should think with many questions to ask.
 
I just want to say welcome and there's lots of great people on here and some who are in a very similar position to you and Poppy's mum who'll always try and answer any questions or worries you have and support you all!
I'm a dad to 3 young kiddies who have Autism and it's such a shock when a diagnosis comes out of the blue,especially something like type 1 when your little girl is only 18 months old and I just want to send my thoughts and best wishes to you and your family!

Hiya Daddy. I hope you find the information and support you, your wife and Poppy need. You will all be old hands before you know it!
