I was diagnosed as Type 1 in January this year. I'm 58 yrs of age. I am having quite a lot of hair loss, not bald patches, just thinning hair since I've been diagnosed. Has anyone got any suggestions on what to use? I'm presuming this is happening because of the Insulin.

I don't think it's the insulin.
I am also a late onset T1. I was losing hair before and for a while after diagnosis. I think it's more to do with very high glucose levels. My hair now is as thick as before .
There is a possibility it is to do with thyroid problems, I have read of people on here that have suffered hair loss because of this.
Hopefully you will have been tested for that on diagnosis.
