I am a newbie .
my diabetes is diet controlled, however over the past year I have changed my lifestyle lost considerable amount of weight which has helped reducing glucose levels. However in recent weeks I have been suffering from regular hypos level 3.1 and 3.2 which occur around 3:00pm. I have been eating grapes or granola which has stabilized condition after 20 minutes. Can someone advise on how I can prevent the hypo rather then reactively deal with the situation.

Hello lordoakley welcome to the forum
I was diagnosed with type 2 in January so I don't feel qualified to offer any advice, but I am sure some of the more experienced members will be along soon. I think they will need to know what and when you have been eating to be able to offer any constructive advice.

@Lordoakley
Welcome. Congrats on the weight loss.
I agree that proactivity beats reactivity.
What are you eating over the day, and how is your BG changing. it could be a steady decline in BG due to your lunchlime meal or it may be a spike, prompting you to dip due to overproduction of insulin.. Either way slow release carbs at lunch may help or perhaps a slow release snack just before 3:00pm. The "little sugar bombs" that are grapes may trigger a yo-yo effect between spike & hypo!
