I just had a little greak yoghurt 0% fat and grenola.Hello, and welcome.
It would help to know what you ate for breakfast and then saw the 12.2 level.
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes couple years ago. It was 6.2. Since then my reading has been below 5. However, 3 weeks ago I was getting mild headaches and when I did the glucose test te reading was 12.2 in the morning 2hrs after breakfast. My appointment with the GP is not until 2 weeks time as requested by GP after a fasting blood test. Should I be worried?
Hiya. Yes. I have been testing the last few days, morning and evening. It varies between 11.7 and 12.2. I always wash my hands first before testing.Hi there. Have you done any more testing since you had the 12.2? Has that become your new norm?
Had you freshly washed your hands before testing? I wonder if you might have had some food on your hand, to influence the test result.
No fat yoghurt. So I should be eating low cars? I'm new to this. LolWas that a no fat yogurt or no carbs?
Isn't granola a cereal? That is really high carb, as a rule - so the level of 12.2 is what a type two diabetic would see eating a high carb food.

Hiya. No no new medication. Reading this morning was 10.2.Hi @jetleg /Marietta .
Welcome to the forum. I notice on your profile that you are diet managed for your diabetes.
If you recently went for a check up & tests (HbA1c.) then an apointment with the GP 2 weeks later is standard.. (Well, it is for me!)
Regarding the recent high BS. Have you recently been given any steroid bassed drugs for another condition? (Just attempting to discount other factors.)
