Certainly sounds like its illness but be reassured, hitting 9 is nowt to what us T1's can hit when ill (double figures are standard :roll: ). If you are already low carbing, then there is a limit to what you can do, cept increase exercise which is lets face it, the LAST thing you want to do or take/increase medication
If I were you, just keep the carbs low if you can, and ride it out. Higher bg for a week or so wont tip the balance against you when it comes to long term complications or other things we terrify ourselves about so just take care, and be careful if you take any Vit c that its not full of sugar - it tends to be if I recall. I like hot Ribena Lite (0.5g carbs per 100ml) or Sprite Lite heated up in the micro. Comforting, a bit of paracetamol and rest. Best you can do for now
