Hi everyone,
Was diagnosed with diabetes in November 2016 but only discovered this forum today.
I was diagnosed with diabetes at my surgery with A1C of 53. Doctors were unsure of type so referred to diabetes clinic. Following GAD antibodies test of 856, was told that I have slow burning type 1 diabetes and would eventually need insulin.
Managed well with low carb diet but got more difficult in last few months.
I always went to gym and enjoyed spin classes but noticed jerking movement in my right foot and numbness so went to the GP.
She referred me to a neurologist. After MRI scan I asked to go into hospital to do further tests and diagnosed in March with multiple sclerosis.
After treatment with steroids my BG levels have been high and I am have started insulin.
At the moment trying to get used to MS diagnosis and using insulin

.
Anyone here with both diabetes and ms?
Would love some advice
Ade
