Sorry I made a typo.... my eyesight isn't too good.If it isn't food then it might be the timing or frequency of, or exercise either lack of or wrong type. There's been great research into all this since you were first diagnosed.
To be honest it's anyone's guess as to when I will get an appointment there is so much backlog. All I can do is wait. Before the pandemic it would have only been 3 or 4 weeks, now it could be months. Lack of sleep may well be a factor however my lack of sleep is being caused by the high sugar, I'm at the toilet every hour or so.Hello and welcome @Smiter55
I am sorry that you are where you are at the moment. Like with many things in life sometimes the symptoms of the issue make it so much more difficult to take any steps which may help.
The reason people do go on about diet is that it makes such a difference, however, as with most things other factors count as well. For blood sugar levels things like stress, lack of sleep and yes even the weather can be factors. I'm someone for whom stress and lack of sleep are factors which I feel I can't completely control so I (being a bit of a control freak) focus on things that I feel are within my control.
Anyway-when do you expect your diabetic appointment? I'm in Australia so very different here.
Good luck and welcome.
Brilliant news!I phoned the clinic today and was informed they had me in for an appointment beginning November I explained that I wasn't coping very well mentally or physically and she's just called me with an appointment on Thursday.

Believe it or not my gp still hasn't received a letter. I contacted the secretary fir the diabetes specialist and she informed me that as it wasn't marked as being urgent it went to bottom of the pike. It's now typed but has to wait on the prof's signature. In the meantime I'm still getting readings of over 17 at all times of the day. Been 6 weeks since my hospital appointment it's crazy.Hi again Smiter55, So sorry to hear you still haven't been sorted out with your meds yet and hope they do hurry up and do it.
Yes I have had a few problems getting some of my meds of late but they have managed to sort me out within a few days, hope it's the same for you. [hugs]
