Hi

have noticed the last couple of months numbness in some of my toes. Am currently shielding is this something I should speak to GP about sooner rather than later. Any general advice. Thank you.

They’ll want to know about the numbness but it’s not an emergency. My surgery has an e consult form on their website which they review and advise on accordingly (phone call, Written advice prescription/appointment in person etc ). Anyone can do them right now and no preregistration required etc. In fact it’s the only way they want contact outside of emergency’s. Can you do something like that?

There’s a good chance they’ll discuss current control and advocate better control when you do tell them.
Do you know what your pre and post meal numbers are like? Or hb1ac? Can you make improvements to control? Quite a few in here have managed to turn such issues around Rather than watching them get worse by getting their levels right down.

Are you doing any form of low carb/keto currently?
