Hi There,
This is my first time on the forum,so not sure how it usually works.
I was diagnosed with type 2 on New Years eve and have been trying to get to grips with it since.
I'm on metformin and gliclazide twice daily. My levels are starting to come down (they were around 16 when I was first diagosed), but I'm still losing weight which is a problem as I was slim to begin with. My GP and Diabetic nurse are concerned about my continued weight loss and both think I may need insulin, but I'm not convinced. I've been referred to the local hospital and have an appointment in a few weeks time with the diabetic clinic.
Most information I've been reading focuses on losing weight as part of controlling diabetes, but there is little out there for people whose weight is ok. Is there anyone else out there who is in a similar boat?
