I am a 22-year old whose family (my mother side) already has a history of Diabetes. My mom, her older brother, and their parents' cause of death are the complications that they had with Diabetes. So basically, Diabetes is not a new story to me.
Although when I was a child, I used to have a normal FBS. But when I started working on the IT Field on 2011, I started to eat a LOT since I can already buy food that I want to eat and because of the stress at work, I always do stress eating. I've always loved eating sweets like cake, chocolate, ice cream, and others... So now, I've been diagnosed with T2 diabetes last Nov 2013. I started medication from Nov 2013 until Jan 2014, but I've stopped taking Metformine around January because I wasn't able to come back again to the clinic and doctor and have laboratory exam due to my busy schedule at work.
I only was able to have another hba1c and FBS laboratory exam last week, and today I had my check-up and consultation with our company physician. I showed her my lab results and she gave me a prescription for Metformine. I will be taking this medicine until November 2014.
it's nice that I've found this forum coz I am now on a state where I feel like I'm not a normal person anymore. I always have mood swings and I easily get depressed (is this normal to a Diabetic person?).
I hope to have a lot of information and knowledge about coping up with and Fighting Diabetes here.
