I am a type 2 diabetic i have been for the past 9 years i have lots of probs with my blood sugar i have asthma due to my hubby smoking n my bs this last week has been really high 24.6 is highest i go bk for A1C on 9 Dec.
Could you please tell me if Januvia causes weight gain desperatly tying to loose weight.
I am starting waistwise in nov 27 n also need to go to the gym.
I would like to chat to people in the same situation as me i also have other health probs too.

Hi I managed to lose weight whilst on Januvia but I'm not sure if it was coincidence because I was also put onto Thyroid meds at the same time. I'm now off Januvia because my rise in BS may have been due to statins which I've also stopped taking because of other problems I was having with them.

Maybe it is your diet causing the problems? If you give us an idea of a typical day's food we may find some clues.
 
Breakfast Fruit and Yogurt or Weetabix
Lunch Ham Salad
Small amount of Potatoes Meat n Veg.

Drink tea or Iced Water.
