Hi

Is this the 7 year old daughter you posted about needing a wee in class in you other thread? Your 7 year old daughter has type 2 diabetes? That's really very unusual as type 2 is more often diagnosed in the over 40s. It's very unusual for children to be diagnosed with type 2, unless they are clinically, morbidly obese. Is your daughter obese? Or is there some other medical condition treated with drugs that can cause type 2?

How is your daughter's diabetes treated?

Hi. I agree with @catapillar. Unless there is something unusual and/or your daughter was seriously obese, then I would suspect another diabetes type such as T1. Do ask your GP why T2 has been diagnosed. What medication has been prescribed?
