Hi all,
This is the first time I have ever posted on a forum so please bear with me.
I am a type 1 diabetic who has been on an animas vibe pump since December 2013. I was initially diagnosed back in 1997 when I was in my early 20's and for the last I don't know how many years I was on humalog and lantus. I am now very much nearer 40 than 35. My last HBA1C was 7.1 and for a while have been pretty good but lots of highs and lows on a daily basis, hence the pump.
I guess you are wondering what has prompted me to join now. Well today I have been told that I have asthma and while I am not normally one to feel sorry for myself(well maybe occasionally) I am feeling a little bit devastated by this news. I have a gorgeous two year old and and I have been waiting to get the go ahead to try for another baby. I am now concerned that with my age, the diabetes and now the asthma I am going to be strongly advised against it.
Would love to hear what peoples thought are, especially from anybody who is or has been in a similar position.
Apologies if I've not posted correctly or should have posted in another board/topic but this all new to me.
