Hi eveyone, I've been posting here foor a few weeks now but I have this message saying I need to introduce myself so here goes lol.

My name is Marie, I'm 35 and from Cornwall

I was diagnosed about 2 weeks ago now as type 2 and am controlling it with diet only. I've cut out all sweets and sugarey things and am eating very low carb.

I've had fantastic support and advice on here and I thank you all that have helped me. I'm learning new things every day

Hi Marie - welcome to the forum. I was recently told I was a borderline type 2 diabetic!!! So on a diet only. Finding it a bit confusing even tho am happy to adopt a regime to lose weight . What is an acceptable glucose reading for a non diabetic before and after food I wonder I hover between 5.m mols and 8.5 mols before and after eating. My doc wanted me below 5.m.mols Reading the forum and being aware of others glucose levels I feel as tho mine aren't too bad as no medication involved.
Any otter member reading this - any comments would be gratefully received.
