Hi, I've been diagnosed for 2 weeks. I have been gping low carb, upped my exercise etc. But this morning my bg was 9.1!!!
I had walked to school -3mins away, had a cup.of coffee but no breakfast yet.
Any ideas?
Be grateful for any suggestions
Thank you

This sounds like dawn phenomena when the liver dumps glucose into your system to get you moving in the morning. There are a variety of threads on this forum about it. It appears that there is little if anything that can be done to stop it but have a search and read about it on the forum. It is usually the last indicator to drop as you gain control of glucose. If its any consolation mine was dropping but has recently risen again with no change in diet, exercise or Hba1c. No idea why.

Hi thanks for that. I saw some of the comments but none were as high as mine. After 2 weeks I am struggling to know how to control whilst starving hungry. One I research dawn phenomena. That' a new term.
