High BG with sardines !!!

I've only had sardine meal I think the problem is in quantity

Since you say meal was late in evening, and measurements were 7/9 hours later - could this be Liver Dump/Dawn Phenomenon ?

I have come to believe diabetes is not a general rule
Yes of course you are right we are all different so diabetes affects us in different ways and what foods are fine for some others may not find them so good as maybe with you and sardines

I appears that others think half a kilo of sardines is a lot and that to much protein increases blood sugar which to me means that eating fewer sardines No matter the sugar content would lower B.s not a short term measure but eating less whether low Carb or not should be a permanent lifestyle change you are a LCHF advocate and that's fine but we are not all the same and whilt I understand the Low carb high fat diet and broadly follow it but I do eat carbs which you would consider high but in moderation and I find it works for me,

For some people calories dont seem as relevant as carbs & fat but multiple people have reported here and on sites like DD ( look at the unanswered questions in particular) report that for them cals matter as much as lchf when it comes to weight. Some of what ive read over the years implies its much easier for men to lose lots of weight easily on lchf than it is for women - something to do with gender mediated patterns of fat distribution and differing sex hormones

I was wrong because I thought I just had to avoid carbohydrates

You don't have to avoid protein. We need it for cell repair and growth among many other things. I certainly don't avoid it, but you do have to watch portion size. Your portion of sardines was HUGE.

Not really sure its fair to call “nearly half a kilo” of sardenes huge given that a fair part of that is not edicle ( bones, heads, guts etc) “ nearly half a kilo would be just under 500g and According to this
https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/commercial/sardine/biology.html
“ nearly half a kilo” would equate to 3 or 4 sardenes - personally 2 is fine but I wouldnt say 3or 4 is huge

Lol Do you know I eating about 14 sardines
Without heads or peel means pure of the gazelles what I am doing I like it

I think my wife was planning to get rid of me hhhhh

As far as I know, Morocco is exporting sardines to Europe
We about 3500 kilometer of sea
Morocco is the fifth largest exporter of fish and fishery products to the EU. In 2007, its
exports amounted to € 760 million or 5% of all fish imports. Exports have increased at an
annual average rate of 4.3% since 2000.
