Agree with previous post, have been type 1 for a while and eat between 100 to 300 carbs a day depending how hungry or active I am. I know my bolus ratios for each meal which are different 1 to4 in the morning and 1 to 10 lunch and tea. These work for me and took a while to figure out. Before they were right I got my basal right by means of fasting tests. Do you carb count?. do you know your basal is correct. Took alot to get them right as I am usually between 5 and 8mmol. Stick with it and I don't think minimising carbs is the solution as if u r struggling with basal bolus now u still will after. Good luck
