Hi, can anyone tell me what is a high blood sugar reading, and how long should this be allowed to continue. For the past month all my readings have been above the minimum of 10, the lowest being 12.5 and the highest 21.8. The diabetic nurse has told me to change insulin injections to 1 long term of 42 per day to two lots of 30 per day (60). There has been little change in my readings, but no one appears to be concerned.
I have complex health conditions and I'm on a very low residue diet due to short bowel syndrome.
Any suggestions for reducing the sugar readings would be welcome.
