Hi Jamie and welcome to the forum :D

I wonder why your levels have suddenly gone up like that. Have you been ill? Could the headaches be the start of a bug? When you have an infection it can send your levels a bit crazy for awhile. It's good that your health care team seem to be keeping an eye.

Here is a link to some information that we give to newly diagnosed diabetics that you might find helpful.

james123321 - welcome to the forum.
I am sorry you are struggling with your bg numbers, unfortunately the medication on its own wont shift your blood glucose, you need to help it along by reducing your carb intake.

Have you got a meter and test strips? If you have then start testing your bg before and then 2hrs after meals, this way you will quickly learn which foods you should eat less of or maybe even cut out totally.
Do you exercise? This would help reduce bg numbers, but dont do any exercising whilst you have high numbers.
You can of course take more medicines or insulin if you cannot or dont want to reduce your carb intake, you have a few choices so dont despair, find what suits you.

All the best

hi thanks for replying so fast.
the head aches started when my sugar levels went up. no not been feeling ill (apart from haveing the normal symptoms for high sugar level)
i havent eaten anything differnt than what i was doing before they went up.
i have been phoning the hospital every 3 days like they have asked and they have been increasing the glicklside everytime and its made no differance to my sugar levels. its high all the time apart from in the moring when its 12-14

thanks jamie
