High BS

Hi all, I have problems with high BS readings. I started off weighing 24st, went on a diet and lost 7st, then started having problems with depression and went on Prozac, when on Prozac I lost all my will power, fell off the diet and put most the weight back on. Im now at the weight where I produce less insulin, so have difficulty keeping my levels normal. Will I have suffered any damage to my eyes, for example, in this six month period of high levels?I have a lot of floaters in my eyes but dont know if this is BS related as I have always had a lot of them since my early 20's(now 44).

On a side issue, surely the body will repair some of the damage done by high BS levels, or am I wrong?

Hi gaz1971, I'm pretty sure that the body will do it's best to repair itself once blood sugars are back under control. You have already managed it once so you can do it again. Chances are if you can get the blood sugars down again the weight will fall off by itself and life will get back on track. Keep faith and keep trying there are many people on here who will be willing you on and supporting you and able to offer encouraging advice.

You are a T2 so it's always good to remind people of that. given your previous posts.

No-one here is qualified to offer medical advice, but you should get that checked out asap. As for repair, I just don't know but I am certain of one thing ..... get rid of that weight and consult your GP.

best Mike
