I had a lasagna with a baked potato last week. It was quite a large meal and reading was 8.7 the following morning. I didn't test around the meal unfortunately.
This evening I had the same lasagna, no potato, smaller portion and exercised after. Before meal was 5.5, hour and a half after 5.3, 3 hours after 5.6.
Oddly my base reading seems to be around 5.5 rather than 4.5 but I think that might be due to the different batch of strips.
Do you think it is the portion size that was the issue or exercise or both. Odd that this doesn't seem to have had much effect at all.
Also tried one round of hovis granary toast which sent me from 5.3 to 8.7.
The number of carbs effect BS. So does exercise. You are doing the right thing though by testing how different foods and exercise can affect your BG levels. Exercise can really make a difference for many hours after.
