High (for me) BG on holiday

Hi! Just after a bit of advice if that's ok.

I've been doing LCHF for about 2 years and I consider my diabetes firmly under control. BG level rarely above 6.5, good HBA1C, on the lowest dosage of metformin.

In the last couple of days I've had consistently high (for me) BG readings, ranging from 6.5 up to 7.5 or 8 occasionally. It's freaking me out, and I'm not sure of what to do to bring them down.

I have been drinking more than usual (red wine only), but my food's been good low-carb stuff (salads, nuts, cheese etc).

I should probably confess that I missed a couple of days of metformin (because I couldn't find it!) but I was under the impression it wouldn't have such an immediate effect.

Am I worrying about nothing? Thanks everyone!

Are you away somewhere hot on hols? Some people have reported higher readings over the recent hot weather here in the UK? Just a thought.. or have you been eating anything different maybe restaurant food rather than home made?

Agree with @bulkbiker

I've just come back from 3 weeks in warmer climes and while my fasting levels were great, got higher than usual (though not off the scale) readings during the day - especially if I spent a lot of time in the sun.
