My second child was conceived when I had an hba1c of 8.4 and although I did get a telling off and told it wasn’t ideal, never did I once get told I should abort my baby or that she would have health conditions. As far as I was aware, there only concern was miscarriage. I think knowing the health of your unborn baby is in your hands should be enough to give you the determination to get your sugars under control and have a relatively straightforward pregnancy. I got my hba1c down to 6 and went on to have a perfectly healthy little girl at 37 weeks weighing a normal 7lb 3oz. I do hope everything works out for you and you prove your quite frankly awful sounding team wrong! x</blockquote>
