Hi looking for some advice. So I have been unwell this week felt bit fluey on Monday which turned into a stomach bug on Tuesday for a few days, I am type 2 with tablets to treat, as I was not getting much food my sugars dipped very low so spoke with a gp who said halt medication whilst ill till I was eating again. I am now back eating so back on my meds, but last night I was so so thirsty and running to toilet all night. Today I am feeling bit rubbish, very tired, still really thirsty can't quench thirst despite drinking loads, and I got a headache about tea time. I checked levels before tea and I was at 26.8 mmol/L and then again not long ago I am now 23.9. Should I be worried about this, do I need speak to Dr over weekend or just see if it settles tomorrow. Thanks all

Hi cb3781, I'm not an expert by any means but those levels are very high. I would suggest if they don't come down you should phone 111 for advice. I know when you are unwell, blood sugars can rise but I think you need to get this checked out. I'm sure other members will be able to give you advice soon

With levels suddenly this high, yes, I'd call 111 for advice.
Hope you'll feel better soon!
