There’s a common known thing called a “false hypo” which means you will feel like your having a hypo & experience all the symptoms of a hypo.
This can happen when you’ve been running high blood sugars for a while, as you start to bring your blood sugars down your body thinks your in need of glucose to bring you back up to the high numbers it’s used to.
I know it feels unpleasant but your not having a hypo, ( a hypo is anything under 3.9) and it’s best to ride it out & not treat it and get your body used to the lower numbers.
If your used to numbers in the high teens then being under 10 will probably make you feel like this
I add a caveat here as it says in your profile treatment as other, so I’m not sure what meds you are on. Your last sentence I take to mean you’re not on any meds yet for your diabetes? If your on insulin or meds that can cause a hypo like Gliclizide, if you do go into the very low 4 or high 3 then it’s best to treat it with some fast acting carbs like a couple of jelly babies, then test again 15 minutes later, if your then out of hypo territory have a slow acting carb snack of about 10g.
