Type of diabetes
Type 2
Treatment type
I do not have diabetes
My grandad has type 2 diabetes and dementia.

His blood is usually between 11 and 16.

He is currently 26.3.
What do you recommend

Gosh, Potter. That is rather high. Have you had any advice from your grandad's Doctor for how to deal with a very high number?

How is your grandad feeling with his numbers that high? Is he unwell at all, perhaps a cold or a virus?

If you have concerns, please call 111, the NHS number who can take much more information than we can and make a better assessment. They can also arrange an out of hours Doctor, if necessary.

In the meantime, it would probably help if he could keep his fluids up, although I do know that those living with dementia find that difficult to do.
