It's the whole thing with the change of lifestyle, I think I have convinced myself that I'm too old to change or too set it my ways, I know it's a long road, but with the support of family and friends, and, it seems, a few dozen people I've never met, at least I won't be walking it alone

You're never too blooming old - I was 71 when I was diagnosed and was quite able to make the decision to change my diet and improve my lot - and I'm not the only real oldie who's doing this - you're just a babe in arms!! - so if we can, you can, and you will be the better for it! You'll get all the support you need on this forum too

I had two workmates: one was my age but at least 20 years older in attitude and outlook, and at the same time another workmate and good friend who was ten years older than me but who was at least as young as me in her outlook . Something for you to ponder perhaps?
