High Sugar level

Hi,
I was diagnosed Type 2 in November '15 I take metformin & Glycacide. This past week I have been eating healthy but my sugar levels in the evening have been at 9 and I don't know why! I'm wondering if it could be the stress at work! Also I've started to feel real thirsty a lot! I'd be grateful for any advice x

Perhaps you may like to share what you are actually eating and consider healthy?

Generally if you haven't done so already, you may want to consider reducing your carbs, it helps to narrow down what may actually be causing the elevated glucose level.

For Breakfast I had a grapefruit & an Apple
Lunch was last nights dinner some lamb chops and boiled sweet potatoes! I haven't felt hungry enough yet to have dinner!

the sweet potato are high in carb in all fairness -- maybe substitiute cauliflower that you chop fine and stir fry ( add some flavouring like chinese 5 spice , or cumin , etc for taste
carb value on cauli is only 2.2 per 100 grams
sweet potato is more like 14 or 15 per 100 gram from memory
