High sugars after Covid

Geri

Hello, I have type 1 diabetes for 5 decades but after getting Covid in March this year, I have found my sugar levels going high pretty much most of the time. Has anyone else experienced this?
I generally count carbs and don’t eat a lot. The other strange thing is that my thyroid levels have also increased and I am on less thyroxine but had been stable on more thyroxine for 30 years. I’m curious as what is happening.
Any advice or comments appreciated.

Sorry to read you had covid and still experiencing after effects.
It is not uncommon for our basal requirements to change. Have you done a basal test to check your basal needs?
There are many things that can affect it including weather, stress, exercise, illness, … so it is a good idea to check it, especially when you are experiencing lots of highs.
