For the past week or so no matter what I eat as in low carbs my blood sugars go crazy and won’t come back after I’ve eaten my lunch. I have breakfast at 830 then I don’t eat till about 230 is that too long without food? Just slightly worried as I’m only eating a bowl of soup and getting readings of 16-18 3 hours after eating
I would recommend that you start by testing your basal insulin by eating a carb-free lunch or skipping lunch altogether, to see if your blood sugars hold a flat line 5 hours after breakfast until dinner time. After that, if your basal is fine, you can work at changing your CHO ratio for lunch. I find my CHO ratios are different for different times of the day.

Thanks it was hienz chicken and mushroom. Today bloods were good till I had an apple and some ham and cheese in a tiny wrap and they rocketed and didn’t come down after 6 units of Humalog.
