Hip, Thigh & Groin Pain

i have recently started getting really bad pains in my Hip, thigh and groin area. The pain is so bad it wakes me up and strong pain killers don't help at all. It is being investigated via X-rays and I am waiting for the results. However, I am also wondering if might not be some sort of neuropathy or other complication associated with my type 2 diabetes. Has anyone else had similar symptoms?

Don't know if it can be diabetes related. I have Osteoarthritis and it sounds and feels like that.
