Hi, I'm a newbie. With last night's basal I hit a bloodvessel and a fair bit of blood escaped. Readings today a bit higher than usual. Did I loose insulin with the bood and does it really matter?

It doesn't really matter too much. What usually happens is that you inject through the vessel rather than "intravenously" so the blood seeps into the tissue with the insulin and out of the hole. Whether it has that much of an impact is dependent on how big your dose is, but not much is likely to be lost.

Fab, thanks - I just had mild paranoid worries. Smile ☺
