I am going to New York on holiday and wondered if anyone had any hints or tips for travel/time difference. Also can you take lucozade , chocolate, biscuits into New York with you?As I will be carrying all this with me on the plane (flying from London) Know they have some rules on certain foods. I am Type 1 and have been for 36 years
Thank you

Hi @LizF_F
a warm welcome to the forum.:)

I have travelled loads of times to the west coast USA ( 8 hour time difference ) and when I was using MDI ( multiple daily injections ) I did not encounter any issues -- I just tested loads and corrected with fast acting as needed .

my back ground insulin ( lantus for me ) -- I just waited and took at new evening time ( 4 extra hours behind if that makes sense )
and next day carried on as per the new time zone ..

hopefully some others will be along to support soon too !!

You won't be able to bring Lucozade through security but could buy some in the Duty Free lounge before your flight.
