Hello,

I'm very newly diagnosed, last Thursday 30/6 in fact. so I am still finding out what is what.
Had a chat with the Dr who is the diabees specialist at our medical centre and she said that home made muesli was OK.

Just about to make up a new batch, but the sugar/carbo content of some of the ingredients seems very high. Can anyone help me with a recipe that will meet the levels re sugar and carbs.

My usual mix is a base of 500gm oats with about 750gm chopped dried fruit and nuts, prunes, figs, apricots, cranberries, raisins, mixed nuts and dessicated coconut.

If anyone can help with either a mix that is suitable or a branded one that is suitable I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance

Joyola.

I add ground almonds and other nuts to my museli to bring the carb content down

granola

Hi,

Was thinking of trying the home made granola recipe from the recipe thread and was wondering if anyone had worked out the carb content for a batch - if so will save me having to do the maths

thanks

Vicky
