home self test Hba1C tests

Hello - does anyone have any experience of using Hba1C home self tests kits. It seems they are quite expensive for one test and not sure how reliable they are. I have altered my diet for the last six months and really want to know if I am on the right track. Appreciate info and idea of cost ....Many thanks Sue

I’ve used them - this one: https://home.bhr.co.uk/a1c-now/a1cnowr-self-check-4-test-pack-cardiochek
but a cheaper option, if you don’t want to buy 4 tests is to use a service such as Monitor My Health, Thriva or Medichecks to buy a one off HbA1c test. They’ll post you a kit and you post back to them.
