Horse riders insurance?

For any horse riders out there, do you know how diabetes can affect horse riders insurance costs? I am currently setting up a share in a horse, and the riders insurance was advised, so can anyone fill me in?

BHS membership gives you rider insurance automatically, tis the cheapest way when I last looked, I am sorry I don't know if they ask any health questions.
