Just asked for the doctor that is taking care of me while I'm here to test me for LADA because apparently they didn't even start the tests. Had to get 20 units of humalog and 24 units of tresiba. As my blood sugar was 23.6 and the nurse was trying to figure out what could have made my sugar spike that high. She wrote a note for the doctor and got extra insulin, and the fluids that the nurses had to start to administer again isn't working that well. But the truth is, I'm starting to feel a bit better. But not enough to go home and I'd rather figure out with the help of doctors what is wrong with me. Because the emergency doctors couldn't even figure it out. I was supposedly supposed to go home yesterday, but now that I had to have fluids again they don't want to let me go. And the doctor wants me to go home tomorrow, if my blood sugars are stable enough. But the nurse wants me to stay until I figure out everything and she's going to tell the doctor. And the doctor said to me yesterday that my blood sugars were stable, but 28.7 is stable, huh? I don't understand some doctors. But hopefully I'll be able to go home soon.
