I just had tea new potato, veg and half a chicken breast. Thing is absent minded I made and ate it an hour earlier that usual. Did the bolus jab and blood test (Trurapi 5 units) an hour earlier. Will this make any difference to me or my blood sugars (probably not)
I will do everything else at normal time tonight

Hi,

If you are using MDI. (multiple daily injections.) your “ Trurapi” should give you flexibility to change your meal times or even don’t feel hungry wait until you are then bolus for that meal?

Are you also prescribed a long acting insulin?

Supper can be random times for me.. :)

Yes I use Trujeo as a very long lasting that is 8am 42u
I didn't think the hour early would make much difference just was asking to be sure
thank you

The whole goal about using a basal and bolus is to have your basal covr your insulin need outside of foods, and have the bolus deal with any foods you eat, no matter what time you eat it.

So you did exactly the right thing, bolused before eating and not at a specific time.
